illustrations by persimmon is created by nadia maneechote, an illustrator based in los angeles, ca and bangkok, thailand. the name persimmon is directly translated from her thai name ลูกพลับ or “look-plub”,  a palm-sized orange-colored fruit from east asia. her illustrations most often take form through colorful pastel gouache and digital brushstrokes. she is inspired by all things nature, endless summers, and her love and curiosity for traveling to different parts of the world.
